OpTier Announces Record Revenue Growth
1OpTier on Thursday announced 85 percent annual revenue growth in 2010 through sales in new and existing market segments. The company has 50 percent of its customer base in Global 1000 companies, with many in the top 100 of that list. OpTier continues to broaden its customer portfolio, including leading U.S. insurance companies, tier-one service providers in EMEA and Asia Pacific, and financial service firms ranging in size from tens of thousands of employees to just a few hundred employees. The analyst community again recognized OpTier this year for its leadership and vision in BTM and performance monitoring software.
Expanding Markets
OpTier continues to grow its footprint geographically and in new vertical markets. In addition to covering the U.S. and EMEA, the company successfully expanded its customer base in Asia Pacific. Along with securing new customer wins in existing markets such as manufacturing, financial services and insurance, OpTier saw growth in the telecommunications market directly and through a partnership with Amdocs. The partnership agreement enables Amdocs to resell OpTier BTM(TM), offering its customers visibility into all end-user transactions to avoid revenue losses from order fall out, improve customer satisfaction and reduce customer churn. Through Amdocs and directly, OpTier was able to add new tier-one telecommunication customers such as O2, a business division of Telefonica S.A.
"Excellent customer satisfaction is critical to our success," said Chris Dollimore, lead OSS architect at O2. "We selected the OpTier BTM solution to provide end-to-end visibility across a wide number of IT applications. We expect to significantly enhance the overall customer experience by using OpTier BTM to understand service performance for each customer across our IT services."
Expanding Product Portfolio
OpTier announced a new release to its business transaction performance management software, incorporating new diagnostics capabilities. OpTier BTM 4 is the most comprehensive solution for end-to-end business transaction management and application performance management from the end-user, cross-application, datacenter and cloud perspectives. It includes end-user experience management, application transaction profiling, application diagnostics, support for enterprise service buses, auto-discovery of service dependencies and complex event processing (CEP).
In 2010, OpTier continued to innovate by introducing new performance management offerings including:

To support this new offering, OpTier announced a relationship with Keynote Systems to deliver optimized end-user experience using both synthetic and real user monitoring solutions.
