Today marks the beginning of GRAMMY Live?, the real-time, three-day online broadcast leading up to the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards® on Sunday, Feb. 13. LiveU (www.liveu.tv) is working in conjunction with The Recording Academy and AEG Digital Media to provide its mobile broadcasting technology to bring these behind-the-scenes VIP events live to online viewers.
LiveU (www.liveu.tv) offers a live, broadcast-quality video uplink solution (both SD and HD) that utilizes multiple, aggregated cellular links. This technology is housed within a backpack, allowing live video to be transmitted from anywhere in the world, using any camera, without the expense of satellite transmission.
The GRAMMY?s roving videographers are using LiveU?s newest technology ? the LU60. This new unit, which recently began shipping to customers, bonds up to 12 cellular (3G/4G LTE), WiMAX and Wi-Fi modems to provide a proprietary stable signal, even in a cellular dead zone.
The original backpack ENG solution, LiveU has been utilized at events including the Super Bowl, Academy Awards, World Cup, Olympic Games and national/local news events.
