Dana Gross Joins Carmel Ventures as Venture Partner

Carmel Ventures, a leading Israeli venture capital firm with over $600 million under management, announced today that Ms Dana Gross, former SVP and Israel Country Manager of SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK), will be joining the fund as a Venture Partner. Dana is joining Carmel following an impressive career spanning over 16 years at SanDisk, the world’s largest supplier of flash storage cards, and in M-Systems that was acquired by SanDisk in 2006 for $1.6 billion.
Dana will work closely with Carmel’s team to continue to add value to Carmel’s existing portfolio companies and to develop new investment opportunities.

Dana, 41, served as SVP and Israel Country Manager of SanDisk Corp. since 2006. In 2002 she was appointed Chief Marketing Officer at M-Systems and held the position until the acquisition by SanDisk in 2006. She began her career at M-Systems in 1992 as VP Operations, and held several executive positions: CFO & VP Finance, President of M-Systems Inc. (US subsidiary), VP World Wide Sales, and EVP – DiskOnChip Business Unit Manager. Dana earned her BS in Industrial Engineering from Tel-Aviv University and her MBA from San Jose State University.
